Privacy Policy

LaneReign (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a driving and territory-capture experience for car enthusiasts. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree, please do not use LaneReign.

LaneReign never sells personally identifiable driving data. We may use anonymized and aggregated statistics to improve the platform and create community insights (for example, how popular a corridor is in a region). These rights and choices apply to all users, whether or not you subscribe to LaneReign Plus or Business.

Information we collect

• Account information — email address, display name, and authentication identifiers when you sign up or sign in (including Apple, Google, or email/password via Amazon Cognito).
• Location and drive data — GPS coordinates, speed, heading, timestamps, and derived route geometry when you record a drive or use map features. Location is collected only with your device permission.
• Gameplay and profile data — faction choice, captures, XP, achievements, club membership, messages, and leaderboard standings.
• Business mileage data — if you use LaneReign Business, distance logs, vehicle tags, session notes, and export metadata.
• Device and push tokens — device identifiers needed to deliver notifications you opt into.
• Support and diagnostics — issue reports, feature requests, and optional diagnostic logs you choose to send.
• Usage and preferences — notification settings, display preferences, and similar in-app configuration.

How we use information

• Provide core features: recording drives, territory capture, leaderboards, clubs, messaging, and mileage logging.
• Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• Send notifications you have enabled (for example recapture alerts or club activity).
• Improve reliability, safety messaging, and product quality.
• Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

Location data

LaneReign requires location access to record drives and show map features. We do not continuously track you when you are not using recording or map features that need location. You can revoke location permission in iOS Settings at any time; some features will stop working.

Sharing and data products

We do not sell your personal information. We do not license or sell per-user GPS traces, drive history, or contact lists to data brokers or third parties for their own marketing or profiling.

We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics with partners — for example, how many unique drivers completed a sponsored corridor during a campaign. These reports do not identify you or reveal your individual routes.

We may share personal information only with:

• Service providers — cloud hosting, authentication, maps, analytics, and push delivery, under contracts that limit use to providing services to us.
• Other users — information you make public (profile, captures, club activity, shared routes) according to in-app visibility settings.
• Legal and safety — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the service.

Retention

We keep account and drive data while your account is active. Business mileage records may be retained longer where needed for expense reporting (up to seven years where applicable). You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Your choices

• Manage notification preferences in the app or dashboard.
• Control location permission on your device.
• Opt out of inclusion in aggregate sponsor campaign reporting in app settings (when available). This choice is free and does not require a paid subscription.
• Request access, correction, deletion, or opt-out of sale/sharing where applicable under your local privacy laws by emailing beta@lanereign.app.

LaneReign Plus and Business provide longer retention, export tools, and an ad-free experience. They do not change whether we sell personally identifiable driving data — we do not.

Children

LaneReign is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International users

We may process and store information in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate. By using LaneReign, you consent to this transfer.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
